If your organisation joins IBF, you and your colleagues will be able to network, communicate and share knowledge with an exclusive global community of more than 1,500 intranet professionals from other IBF member organisations.

In a variety of face-to-face and online meetings, you will take exclusive live tours of other leading intranets, learn from industry experts, exchange tips and experiences with fellow members, find out about new technologies, and debate the hottest topics in intranet management. You will also have access to IBF’s acclaimed members-only extranet.

Member meetings
Eight times a year, IBF brings member organisations together for a full-day face-to-face meeting. Each meeting includes a live intranet tour, a keynote presentation, and lively facilitated dialogue on current intranet hot topics. Agendas are fluid so we can respond to member requirements.

Meetings are followed by a member dinner, providing a relaxed networking opportunity. The next day, there is usually a half-day visit to an IBF member organisation, including a tour of the intranet and an opportunity for hands-on intranet use.

Special interest groups
IBF’s special interest groups (SIGs) bring together intranet specialists from IBF member organisations to debate a particular aspect of intranet management. Some SIGS are regular – for instance those looking at internal communication, SharePoint, and usability. There are also a number of one-off meetings on topics such as search. Most SIGs are run online.

SharePoint accelerator programme
In response to the impact of SharePoint on the intranet landscape, IBF has developed a programme of activities aimed at helping members to accelerate their journey via research, knowledge sharing and expert input. Find out more about the SharePoint Accelerator programme.

Intranets Live
IBF members get 25 places at Intranets Live, the world’s first intranet media channel. An innovative online ‘intranet programme’ on the first Tuesday of every month, Intranets Live lets participants:

Extranet
IBF’s secure, members-only extranet facilitates online interaction between members, connecting you to an elite global intranet community. You can ask questions of your peers, get involved in discussions on hot issues in the industry, and book places at any of our face-to-face and online meetings. The extranet also gives you access to breaking news and a wealth of exclusive articles, papers, reports and presentations.
