When your organisation joins IBF, you will have the chance to learn from our programme of research into best practice and hot topics in intranet and portal deployment.

Every year, we produce at least three full-length research reports and three briefing papers. Topics are agreed and defined with members’ input. Our research is rooted in practical examples from the leading players in the field inside and outside IBF.

The resulting reports and briefing papers are used by members as the basis for key strategic decisions and as a rich source of ideas for their intranet programmes.

Generally, members get exclusive access to our research, although occasionally we make a report or paper available to non-members via our online shop.

After reports and briefing papers are released, you will have the chance to discuss the issues raised in members-only research webinars.

Research subjects we have tackled recently include the SharePoint 2007 intranet, intranet governance in the social media age, meeting the needs of hard-to-reach users, wave three of employee directories, and intranets and sustainability.
